The first edition of L’Étape Hermosillo by Tour de France will take place on October 18, 2026, bringing the experience and spirit of the world’s greatest cycling race to the capital of Sonora for the very first time.

Participants will be able to choose between 120, 67 and 30-kilometre routes, designed for different levels of experience and surrounded by Sonora’s distinctive landscapes. A unique opportunity to challenge yourself while discovering Hermosillo on two wheels.

This inaugural edition will mark a new chapter for cycling in the region, bringing together national and international riders for an experience that combines sport, tourism, culture and gastronomy under the L’Étape by Tour de France banner.

Yellow Jersey

On L’Etape by Tour de France events, the winners of each race (male and female) will be awarded the most coveted jerseys of all in the cycling world: the yellow jersey.

White Jersey

VALUES : YOUTH SPIRITED PROMISING

On L’Etape by Tour de France events, the best rider aged under 25 (male & female) will be awarded the white jersey.

Green Jersey

VALUES : AUDACITY, EXPLOSIVITY AND SPEED

On L’Etape by Tour de France events, one flat section of the route (few hundred meters) will be timed and lead to dedicated classification and offer the best sprinters the chance to win the Green Jersey.

Polka dot Jersey

VALUES : POWER ENDURANCE, GOING BEYOND YOUR LIMITS

On L’Etape by Tour de France events, majors climbs on the route will be timed and the best climbers will have the chance to win the Polka dot jersey.
